BioExcuse the ugly-ass LJ. I'm new here. Want to be my friend and help me make it pretty? =]
The name on the birth certificate is Michaela Lenzie Tussey, but you may call me Chae, Shayla, Chimaela, etc. I was born in what I refer to as the "ghetto" of eastern Kentucky. I suggest you avoid this area. I'm sixteen years old and a junior in high school. Speaking of high school, I just left an oppressive rural private school for a larger public school around 45 minutes from my home. I live with my mother and grandmother. Musical theatre is my life. I'm only double majoring in college because my mother is making me. I really can't see myself doing anything else in life (and I'd hate for all that money spent on workshops and lessons to go to waste). I have been a professional actor since age eight (Jenny Wiley Theatre). Most people who meet me have no desire to be friendly to me. My grandmother and I love to watch The Battery's Down and Andrew's Blog together. My mom wishes I were more normal (she doesn't tell me this directly, but actions speak louder than words). I don't like to be social unless it's a requirement. I like to wear hats sometimes. I'm not overly romantic like everyone else my age (I don't care much for "The Notebook"). I don't like horror films unless they're campy. I tend to get really starstruck when I stagedoor shows. I own a t-shirt from every equity production I have ever seen and I have every Jenny Wiley Theatre t-shirt made since 2000 (I'm even on one!). I look different in every picture taken of me. I don't know what my natural accent is because my accent is always different. Normal teenagers annoy me because they don't understand how to respect people.
My Favorite Musicals: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Wicked, RENT, Hairspray, Little Women, Carrie, [title of show], bare, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, In the Heights, Summer of '42, Seussical the Musical, Spring Awakening, The King and I, The Music Man, Fiddler on the Roof, Legally Blonde, The Light in the Piazza, The Secret Garden, Songs for a New World, Smile, Ragtime
